Tamatar Dhaniya Ki Chutney | Tomato Cilantro Chutney Recipe

Tamatar Dhaniya Chutney Tomato Cilantro ChutneyTamatar Dhaniye ki chutney aka tomato and green coriander leaves chutney is one recipe that I wanted to post for ages.  This chutney recipe I learnt from  my in-laws and it's one of most popular chutney, for any dish side chutney has to be this  one as in North India coconut or onion chutney is almost doesn't has existence and most important thing chutney is used as a side along with meal or with pakoas, bajjiya, chawal roti, farra etc the typical North Indian affair.  Of course now a days people try all sort of things but in villages these rules still holds high.

This chutney goes with just anything, the most popular combination is pakode, chawal roti, farra, jala roti, etc but it also goes well with variety rice (if am making during week night then the side dish has to be this chutney), along with plain or tadka dal-chawal or even with idli-dosa.  My DH likes only one chutney in this world and that is this tomato and cilantro chutney, it does't matter what ever chutney I make he won't touch it other than green chutney and sweet chutney which we use in chaat but even if I serve green chutney along with pakoda then he will still not touch it and so this is one chutney that I make the most.

Some times I will make two chutney one is this one for him and another anything of my choice to please me.  The best thing about this chutney is it's too easy, hardly any ingredients and done in jiffy.  We don't have to do any chopping, grating etc and it's oil free as no tadka (tempering) involved here.

Try this once and you will love it.  Though let me caution you that do not add too much of garlic in this recipe and don't miss it too, just a small clove or two is enough if you add too much of garlic it will have sharp garlic taste & will be bitter and if you miss garlic then the chutney won't be as tasty as it should be, clear no? read again.
