The Ministry of Labour & Employment offers various schemes for the workers and one such scheme is PM Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana 2025. This scheme was officially introduced in 2019. In collaboration with LIC and CSC SPV, the Ministry of Labour & Employment administers this scheme. This maandhan.in SYM Yojana 2025 is for the unorganised sector workers which are not covered by EPF, National Pension scheme, ESIC and such workers also not file taxes and get any other pension benefit from the Government. The unorganised workers include street vendors, rickshaw pullers, construction workers, landless laborers, handloom workers and other workers in similar occupations.
PM Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana 2025
Under this scheme, the unorganised workers would get Rs. 3,000/month as a pension benefit after the sixty years of age. But to get this pension, such workers need to contribute from the age of 18 to 40 years in this scheme. This PM Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana 2025 is a contributory scheme where the unorganised workers can contribute voluntarily. With such workers, the Government would contribute by the same number or ratio. As of 31st Dec, 2024, over 30.51 crore workers registered under maandhan.in SYM Yojana 2025.

PM-Shram Yogi Maan-Dhan Scheme Eligibility 2025
- The applicants should be aged from 18 to 40 years.
- The applicants monthly earnings should be Rs. 15,000 or less.
- The applicants must be worked in unorganised sector employment which means such applicants must be engaged in employments such as:
- Street vendors
- Construction workers
- rag pickers
- Domestic workers
- Agricultural workers
- rickshaw pullers
- beedi workers
- artisans
- daily wage labourers
- fishermen
- Weavers
- leather workers, etc.

- The applicants should not be covered by NPS, ESIC, EPF and the applicants should not get any other pension benefit from the Government and should file a tax return.

Pradhan Mantri SYM Scheme Benefits 2025
- Minimum Assured Pension: The contributors would get Rs. 3,000/month after the sixty years of age.
- Government Contribution: With the workers, the Government would also contribute to the same ratio.
- Family Pension: If somehow the beneficiary dies then the spouse would get half of the pension benefit.
- Exit Provisions: Contributors can exit this maandhan.in SYM Yojana 2025 at any time but there are some provisions included.
- Voluntary & Contributory scheme: This scheme allows the workers to contribute as per their requirements and this scheme is fully voluntary.
- Fund Management: The LIC administers this scheme which ensures financial stability.
- Easy Enrollment: Eligible workers can enrol at CSCs or via Maandhan web portal.
PM-SYM Application Process 2025
Application or Enrollment can be done in 2 ways:
- The first option is to visit the nearby CSC with a savings bank account, Aadhar card. Provide biometric authentication via Aadhar and the officials will fill an online form and the first subscription or contribution needs to be paid in cash. Choose autodebit from remaining contributions and get a PM-SYM card.
- The second option is to enrol via Maandhan web portal.
- Go on that portal. Under Services Tab, go on New Enrolment and go on Self enrollment option. Provide the mobile number and then opt.
- Go on Services, enrolment and enrolment form would be opened.
- Provide E-shram UAN Number, DOB.
- Aadhaar Authentication or E-sharm Number verification would be done.
- Fill in Nominee Details.
- Download the Mandate form and fill & upload it.
- Pay the first subscription and then choose autodebit.
- Download the PMSYM card.
