Sweet Potato Paratha or Shakarkand (shakarkandi) paratha is easy and quick paratha made with mashed sweet potato and wheat flour. There are 2 ways of making this paratha one is doing the stuffing and another is this easy method of mixing everything together and then make paratha, a good option during week days. Sweet potato paratha is good option for kids to make their normal paratha more nutritious and also it taste little sweet so they will like it too.

If you haven't tried sweet potato paratha yet then you should it's yum. Mildly sweet, spicy it's great to eat with any side like or curd, pickle or try it with any kheer too. DH like sweet potato paratha and whenever we get batch of sweet potato I divide it into two portions one portion will go into making this paratha and another portion I will make halwa, kheer, tikki etc.

To make this paratha more healthy you can add chopped fenugreek leaves (methi) or even spinach (palak) etc, for kids you can apply ghee or butter instead of oil. Stuffed method is almost same I will try to post that version too some time for but now try this sweet potato paratha for your breakfast, lunch, dinner or lunch box.
